Fun For the Whole Family at St. Paul's
We have events scheduled throughout the year for families here at St. Paul's. In the recent past, we've had movie nights, ice-cream socials, game nights, shared meals, cookouts and trips to Lancaster PA to take in a show and a meal. We have lots planned for upcoming months... keep checking the calendar for details.

Family Fun Night on a recent Saturday drew a crowd of more than fifty as we enjoyed pizza, snacks, cake, games and fellowship in Wheatley Hall. Several families new to the neighborhood were made welcome as they enjoyed the company, as well as lots of food and drinks.
Starting at 6:00 pm, local teens through seniors arrived carrying their favorite board games. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Donald lugged in his Cornhole game. Ruth brought a game called Husker Du for the younger set. Boggle, Scrabble and other word games were played by everyone. Rowena, famous for her organized contests, made everyone laugh as kids balanced Oreo cookies on their foreheads. They raced with contorted faces to get the cookie into their mouths. Throughout the evening old friends dropped by too. Steve, Rita and their daughters stopped in. Steve is now a pastor at the Methodist church in Marydel. It's always nice to see old friends back at St. Paul's. At the end of the evening, the few stragglers who stayed cleaned up, packed up the games and said farewell. We'll be planning another Family Fun Night soon. |
