St. Paul's is a group of people with history...
St. Paul's United Methodist Church has a history of welcoming people, a history that continues today. We welcome anyone into our church family, and hope that they will stay and worship with us. Underneath it all, our greatest joy is sharing Jesus' Love with others. Please stop in, listen to God's message and take it to your heart. We know it will do you good, as it has us. |
We worship together every Sunday morning beginning at 11:00. Come celebrate with us each Sunday with new and old songs and hymns and inspiring words shared among friends, new and old. Please visit us! You can find us at the corner of Sunset Avenue and Academy Street in Greensboro.
Sunday School starts at 9:30 with both children's classes and adult classes. Teen Disciples begins with lunch, immediately after the 11:00 service on Sunday.

Find Out More About the History of Our Congregation and Our Church
St. Paul's United Methodist Church began as a congregation... read more... While we are more enthused about how we have found ways to help others, We are proud of our church building as well. Our stained glass windows, donated over a century ago by parishioners, lend a sense of reverence that must be experienced to be understood.

A Vibrant Part of Our Community
Greensboro is a small community, one of many such small communities in Caroline County on Maryland's eastern shore. In Greensboro and the surrounding farmlands and businesses, St. Paul's is a part of the fabric of life. We celebrate happy times in our community, offering our sanctuary and Wheatley Hall for weddings and gatherings. We are also there when times are tougher. We aid those in need through warm meals, helping visits, comforting words, a place to meet and talk... and of course through our heartfelt prayers. During storms, hurricanes and floods, we bring food to the homes of those who have nothing left. When the lower half of Greensboro flooded several years ago following a hurricane, we carried meals each day to many of those left homeless. |
Through our Community Soup Nights, we hold regular meals, free of charge, for those who would like fellowship, those who want comfort, and those who need warm, wholesome food.
As families in our community grieve over loss, we offer our hall for meals and gatherings, as well as offering the use of our sanctuary for funerals. We make simple shawls, knitted or crocheted with loving hands, giving them to those who are going through rough times. The enveloping comfort these shawls give to those people help them realize that they are not alone. Be a part of what we offer to others... a prayer of hope, a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, a warm meal, a blanket of love and caring. |
St. Paul's United Methodist Church is part of the Penninsula-Delaware Conference of the United Methodist Church. We are one part of a two-charge appointment for Pastor George Simmons. The other church is Union United Methodist Church, in Burrsville, MD. In addition, Pastor George also serves Trinity United Methodist Church in Goldsboro, MD. as pat of a three-church circuit. St. Paul's United Methodist Church is also a member of the Northern Caroline Clergy Association.

Luke 14:12-14 ESV: "He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”
